ORGANISATION PROFILE
The Salvation Army HomeCare Service (HomeCare) has been in operation since 1995.The programme is managed from the National Office in Hamilton, where the Chief Executive, Finance, Payroll, IT teams are domiciled.
HomeCare operates in the home and community sector. Funding is mainly via health funding agencies i.e. DHBs, MoH and ACC (subcontract), Waitemata, Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Lakes DHBs. There are also a small number of private payers.
Approximately 5,000 clients are supported by approximately 900 support workers.
HomeCare has gained full 3 year certification against the NZS8158:2012 Home and Community Sector Standard, having previously been certified against the 2003 standard.
HomeCare is also committed to training our staff to ensure that they are competent to deliver their cares.
